  • More regulations around chemicals, fire resistance, thermal resistance, etc.

It is pretty clear that the building industry is going to evolve on the below in the near future:

  • Sustainability: there is an increased demand in green technology and materials that are both environmentally responsible and energy efficient. In turn, manufacturers like us are looking for innovative ways to meet demand, developing products that will reduce buyers’ greenhouse gas emissions. As a result, demand for environmental certifications like LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) or BREAM is on the rise.
  • Safe materials: there will be an increasing importance of constructing buildings that are safer. With more health-conscious citizens inhabiting their buildings, owners and real estate developers are becoming more interested in the materials used in the construction process. Materials that will contribute more on the safety of the inhabitants (fire behavior, more healthy materials). Continuous research and development gave us the opportunity to develop safe and healthier materials
  • is the expected rise of prefab and modular construction projects, enabling companies to build both residential and commercial buildings at a much faster rate due to the repetitive nature of the projects. Also, these units can often be assembled offsite in a factory-like setting, saving time by avoiding weather delays and money by recycling material that’s not used on a particular project.
  • Digital Changes: advancements in Building Information Modeling (BIM) are enabling architects and engineers to design models that can reveal how certain building materials will withstand the test of time. BIM also allows users to create maintenance schedules, predict job costs, and understand the scope and needs of a job before it’s started, trimming overall waste by helping to avoid unnecessary purchases. We have already been aligned with BIM technology.

Independent suppliers manufacture noncritical components
Automation Automatic control systems, transfer machines, computer-guided welding robots
Human and machine labor
Repair
Accessories and auto parts
Innovations Smart cars and green cars
Safety Vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communication technology : This technology would allow vehicles to “talk” to each other and ultimately avoid many crashes altogether by exchanging basic safety data, such as speed and position, ten times per second, to improve safety.
Pre-collision assist and pedestrian detection technology
Fully functional driverless car
Business model Volumes and fast implementation of innovative solutions
Customer loyalty Discount contracts for car service
Innovation process Market survey
Incorporating vehicle engineers, designers, manufacturing engineers, marketing managers and component manufacturers into a single team responsible for the design, engineering, and marketing launch of the new model
Distribution franchise dealership
Trend Annual model was adopted in the United States during the 1920s to promote new-car sales in the face of used-car competition
Used cars market + wear out Some become scrap metal to feed steel furnaces; some go to wrecking yards where usable parts are salvaged

Your hosts

FLORENCE SZYMANSKI
GUILLAUME LENOBLE

After spending my professional life in big companies, start ups, in the training / marketing / business development areas, I find out that my mission in life is to help people and companies develop themselves. I’ve been a coach since 2016 and a facilitator since 2018, when I founded The Happy Collective. I enjoy developing partnerships with experts that will help you developing your teams and your projects !

I’ve been an IT developer, a trainer in business intelligence, a director for solution engineering at Salesforce, and a manager. I’m convinced that co-development is more efficient when using games, that’s why I created and experimented numerous cooperative games in companies, before founding Belugames in 2015. I got my certification in Lego Serious Play and I now enjoy myself animating Lego cities with connected items…

Congratulations…
